I had the most amazing evening wandering around downtown Kalamazoo with this lovely high school senior and her mom during her photo session! Not only is this girl simply darling from the get-go, she had the dynamite personality to match! She was mature, easy-going, well-spoken, kind and funny. Honestly, though, my favorite part was the easy and friendly rapport between her and her mom. Everyone knows that teenage daughters and their moms are enemies, right? It was so refreshing to see this wasn’t the case between these two lovely women. They had a great sense of humor together and there was clearly mutual love, respect and support that existed between them. All of this made our evening together in Kalamazoo really special. It also gave me hope that, despite inevitable bumps in the road, perhaps my relationship with my young daughter can mirror one like what this duo has.
But enough about all the back-story! Here are many, many, many favorites from an absolutely enormous gallery of gorgeous images. This girl totally rocked her senior photos - from her natural beauty to her great outfits and accessories to how quickly she relaxed and opened up… these photos are stunning! I hope she will love them as much as I do!
Brick, brick, and more brick! My favorite! Also, look how flawless this girl is! Very little editing to make her look this good - she only has herself to thank for it!
We stumbled onto this gorgeous alley just off the Walking Mall on our way to elsewhere and I just love how it photographed with her !
This metallic garage door was a great find! I love the texture of it and loved playing around with different angles and lines.
Oh, what do you know? We’re back at my favorite green door in Kalamazoo!
I’m telling you, she put this kimono on and instantly became the best version of herself! I adore every one of the pictures in this series because she is so stinkin’ adorable and very much her most relaxed self!
One final outfit… I just loved all her choices! And I appreciated the challenge of trying to find a cool background that would work with this floral top. I’m pretty sure we nailed it!
Trying to squeeze in just a few more shots! It gets dark fast in September! But we all agreed that it was pretty cool to take these railroad photos with the busy industrial surroundings rather than in the other direction. I love how they turned out.
Best wishes to you for an amazing senior year, dear! You were such a pleasure to work with! Thanks for making my job so fun and so easy!
